History
The Haas FinTech Club was founded in 2016 and currently supports more than 340 members. It is one of the fastest-growing clubs in Berkeley-Haas history with 250+ event attendees, attracting students from across UC Berkeley. The club aims to prepare students for careers in FinTech through education, treks, and other programs.
Co-Presidents
Julian Darby
Julian Darby is co-President of the Haas Fintech Club and an Entrepreneurial Finance (Fintech) Fellow. Prior to Haas, Julian was an M&A Associate at Bank of America Merrill Lynch in the UK, where he advised multinational corporations on strategic acquisitions, IPOs and equity raises.
Julian served on the Board of a London primary school in a low-income area, which sparked his passion for financial inclusion. Julian is focused on tech solutions to democratize consumer and SMB finance, utilizing analytics to tackle inefficiencies.
In his spare time, Julian loves to travel and ski, and lived in France as an alpine driver for a season. He is a Board Member for a Californian non-profit (ARTA River Trips). Julian studied Natural Sciences at the University of Cambridge.
Dawa Ardiles
Before coming to Haas, Dawa worked in Mercado Pago, Mercado Libre’s Fintech arm, which focused on financial inclusion in Latin America. She worked on identifying growth opportunities for Mercado Pago’s products, and led a cross-functional team that sought to drive compound growth through experimentation.
Having an engineering background has helped her develop an experimentation mindset, endurance for failure, and analytical skills. Dawa’s goal is to exploit those skills as she continues working towards financial inclusion.
In her spare time, Dawa enjoys running and hiking in Berkeley’s Fire Trails.
Anton Filatov
Prior to Haas Anton worked as a senior credit derivatives trader at Sberbank CIB and J.P. Morgan, where he managed $800MM exotic derivatives portfolio and led implementation of a cross-departmental risk management software system.
Anton is passionate about building Fintech products, solving big problems and making a positive impact on people's live using technologies.
Outside of school, Anton enjoys mountain trekking and swimming.
VP EWMBA
Jacqueline Schindler
Jacqueline is a first-year MBA student at the University of California, Berkeley, in the Evening and Weekend program. She earned her undergraduate degree in Political Science from Duke University.
At Haas, Jacqueline is also an academic cohort representative, and a mentor through the Women in Leadership undergraduate mentor-ship program. She is also the Administration Chair for the young professionals board at the Curry Senior Center.
Jacqueline is an Account Manager at S&P Global, providing access to market data and managing relationships with Investment Banks and Private Equity firms in the Bay Area.

Dunja Panic
Dunja Panic is a MBA Candidate at the UC Berkeley – Haas School of Business. Most recently, she served as a strategist in Deloitte’s Customer Strategy and Applied Design offering, a practice which helps clients discover, design, and prototype strategies for customer growth and innovation.
Prior to Deloitte, she spent time at the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau’s Office of Strategy helping frame and influence agency-wide strategy. She graduated from Georgetown University with a B.S. in Business Administration with a concentration in Finance and International Business and a minor in French.

Rahul Venkateshwara
Rahul is a current MBA student at Haas focusing on Fintech and the impact innovation has on the accessibility and affordability of financial services. He is an Entrepreneurial Finance Fellow and Haas Venture Fellow, and working with the Berkeley Impact Venture Partners AMP accelerator.
Pre-MBA, he was a Senior Strategy Manager at Capital One, leading innovation initiatives across lending, payments, and real estate for consumer, SMB, and corporate customers. Rahul began his career as an Associate Consultant at Bain's Chicago Office after graduating with a BA in Economics from the University of Pennsylvania.
Outside of class, Rahul enjoys running on the Berkeley fire trails. Additionally, while living in New York he was an amateur comedian, performing both stand-up and improv.
VP Career
Mikhail Kryukov
Prior to Haas Mikhail worked as a Consultant at BCG where he was focusing mainly on Financial Institutions sector and financial modelling. Mikhail also has a Master’s in Computer Science degree.
Mikhail is passionate about fintech products and, specifically, payments. He hopes to help build a more open financial system worldwide for individuals.
Outside of class Mikhail is a big fan of outdoors (especially skiing) and has traveled to more than 40 countries.

Michael Jenkins
Michael Jenkins is VP of Content for the Haas Fintech Club and an InSite Fellow. Prior to Haas, Michael was an Assistant Portfolio Manager of emerging market debt at BlueBay in London, where he managed the day to day operations of 30 portfolios with AUM ~$5bn.
Michael is passionate about the impact that finance can have and also loves to travel and snowboard. He has completed two Tough Mudders and summited the three highest peaks in the UK as well as Mount Kilimanjaro. Michael studied Banking and Finance at Loughborough University in the UK.

Patrick Covino
Prior to Haas, Patrick worked in New York as a product manager in JPMorgan's digital wealth management group. He worked on both robo-advisor and self-directed trading products. He became passionate about helping people save and invest for their future when he began his career as a private wealth advisor at Merrill Lynch.
Patrick enjoys surfing and performing stand up comedy.
